A body thought to be that of missing Maryhill man Thomas Keenan has been found.
The discovery was made today (Thursday Jan 4) on a stretch of the Forth & Clyde canal.
A Police Scotland statement has just been issued.
It reads: "Around 1250 hrs on Thursday 4 January 2018 the body of a man was recovered from the Forth and Clyde Canal near to Ruchill Street in Maryhill.
"Although formal identification has still to take place, officers believe that it is Thomas Keenan and his family has been informed.
"There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, and a full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
The 21-year-old, of Kelvinside Avenue, was last seen at about 5.50am on Tuesday 21 November at the Esso service station on Maryhill Road.
Several appeals were made in recent weeks to help find him.
Our thoughts are with Thomas' family.
